I highly recommend Parker Landscape Design to those seeking a well established, top quality masonry and landscape contractor. After decades of neglect, the walkways at our house were in great need of repair/replacement with uneven stones or missing and significant deterioration of the breezeway between the house and garage. Something had to be done! Based on a referral from a neighbor, I contacted Scott Parker who made a comprehensive assessment, provided valuable input on design and selection of materials, and offered a fair price. Execution of the work was flawless, performed by skilled personnel using top quality materials within the design. The design greatly complimented the character of the house and property. Two quotes applicable to the selection of a contractor are “you get what you pay for” and “if you are going to do something, do it right!” That is exactly what Parker Landscape Design delivered. Two years ago my husband & I hired Parker Landscape Design to do a landscape & hardscape installation for the front area of our property. Our property is located on a rather steep hill which sloped pretty steeply into our front yard. We wanted to be surrounded by several multi-level planting bed terraces built on retaining walls. Scott  presented a beautiful design complete with lighting. It was a lot more than we budgeted for, but Scott’s ability to help us visualize the final product, his honesty & willingness to work within our budget instilled in us confidence & trust in his vision. We decided to go with the whole project & we were very glad we went with the whole package! I cannot say enough about the professionalism of his team from day one. The landscape architect was very knowledgeable about the various shrubs, perennials & trees that best served our area in terms of the deer resistance, the light requirements & my high demand for color. He was able to coordinate a wonderful blend of color, texture & interest. When the landscape lighting finally turned on in the end, we felt like we were in a beautiful Tuscan garden. They were exceptional professionals who had a great deal of knowledge & experience but what I appreciated most from both of them was their low-key, open & accommodating approach. After the job was done, they came by in the fall to check on the plantings & then again in the spring to replace any of the plantings that did not do well over the winter. We were quite satisfied & we knew we would use them again, & we certainly did!

Last year we asked Parker Landscape Design to create a patio/landscape area in our backyard. Scott  worked with us to develop a layout and select appropriate plantings based on lighting, our taste, and budget. They did an absolutely beautiful job designing precisely the area we had envisioned. Their attention to detail was impeccable. Their recommendations were spot on.

In terms of implementation, they gave us a time frame to complete the project which they met. The crew that installed the plantings and patio could not have been more professional and friendly. The work was concluded last August and we enjoyed it throughout the fall.

Given the bitter winter, we had thought we did lose a few of the new plantings. We were so impressed that Scott reached out to check in this spring regarding any damage. They did a site visit and promptly replaced the affected plants. Their guarantee was truly honored.

Scott and the team at Parker Landscape Design were a pleasure to work with on our paver patio project. From our initial conversation to the final inspection, they were professional, courteous, and efficient. Scott helped us on the design of the patio, both listening to our wishes and offering their expertise to create an elegant design. When it came time for their proposal, they walked us through all of the choices and were very clear and transparent about the price. In addition, they presented different options to us in a “menu” format (patio only; patio + seating wall; patio + seating wall with lighting etc.) but did not once try to push us towards higher cost features. Parker installed a roughly 400 sq. ft. patio in 5 days (the weather was very accommodating that week). The workmanship was precise, neat and extremely high quality. We had Parker Landscape Design landscape a large area off our deck where a pool had been. They leveled the area, laid a patio surrounded with a sitting wall and plantings with an outdoor fireplace as the centerpiece. Absolutely professional in all of their dealings and they stood behind their guarantee for any tree or perennial that didn’t make it through the winter. We love the finished area and put the fireplace and sitting area to good use. Would definitely use them again for another project.

The Parker Landscape Design staff was great! They made great recommendations regarding both landscaping (especially about deer-resistant plants) and hardscaping. Scott was great! I contacted Parker Landscape Design after researching landscape lighting contractors. Ultimately we chose them to install lighting around many of our trees and garden art. They were responsive, listened to and met our objectives, and executed well. 

Our experience with Parker Landscape Design was very good. Scott provided us with a meticulously detailed estimate. After some tweaking, we agreed to a plan, and they completed the work on schedule. When we found a problem with one of the plants a few days later, they came in and took care of it right away. After the work was complete, they gave us detailed written instructions on how to care for the vast variety of plants (about 50!) they had introduced to our landscape. Overall I’m happy with the work and will consider hiring them again for another project.

We used Parker Landscape Design to design and landscape a very steep slope in the back of our house. We had done this previously with another landscaper with no success. Scott came up with a plan which was designed to meet our needs and has sustained success given the challenges of the topography. The install team was very professional and worked closely with us to ensure that everything was to our approval. Scott followed up several times after completion and he was readily available for any follow-up questions or support. We would highly recommend them.
