Parker Landscape Design Earns Five NJLCA Landscape
Achievement Awards for Residential Design Excellence
New Jersey Design-Build Firm
Recognized Across Multiple Categories for Front Yard, Backyard, and Lighting Projects
Warren, NJ – Parker Landscape Design announces it has received five honors from the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association (NJLCA) Landscape Achievement Awards, recognizing residential landscape design and installation projects across a wide range of scopes, budgets, and technical requirements. The awards include four Awards of Merit and one Award of Excellence, spanning front yard transformations, large-scale backyard construction, and landscape lighting.
The NJLCA Landscape Achievement Awards are judged by an experienced panel of green industry professionals, including landscape architects, designers, educators, and industry leaders. Projects are evaluated anonymously, with judges having no knowledge of the company responsible for the work. Decisions are made solely on submitted photographs and detailed project descriptions. Judging criteria for design and installation projects include degree of difficulty, quality of materials, proper installation practices, plant selection, long-term maintainability, attention to detail, structural integrity, harmony with surroundings, and overall appearance. Maintenance and lighting projects are judged on technical execution, consistency, and visual impact.
Parker Landscape Design received recognition for the following projects:
- Landscape Installation without Pool, $50,000–$100,000 – Award of Merit, Front Yard Landscape and Hardscape Makeover
- Landscape Installation: Foundation Planting and Small Garden – Award of Merit, Front Yard Transformation
- Landscape Installation with Pool, $250,000–$500,000 – Award of Merit, A True Backyard Playland
- Landscape Installation without Pool, $25,000–$50,000 – Award of Merit, Front Yard Transformation
- Installation: Landscape Lighting – Award of Excellence, A Nighttime Display of Beauty
“These awards are extremely meaningful to us,” said Scott Parker, owner of Parker Landscape Design. “As a business owner, it is extremely satisfying to know that we have made our customers extremely happy through not just the experience, but also by leaving them with an amazing finished product for them to enjoy with their friends and families for many years to come.”
Each awarded project reflects Parker Landscape Design’s integrated design-build process, where planning, visualization, and construction are managed under one team. The company uses detailed 2D and 3D design renderings to help clients understand layout, materials, grades, and sightlines before construction begins. This process allows for informed decisions early, smoother construction phases, and finished landscapes that function as intended long after installation.
The Award of Excellence for landscape lighting highlights the firm’s technical and artistic approach to nighttime design. Judges recognized the project for its balance of safety, ambiance, and architectural emphasis, using layered lighting techniques to highlight plant material, stonework, and circulation paths without overpowering the space.
Front yard transformations also stood out across multiple budget categories. These projects focused on improving curb appeal, entry experience, drainage flow, and long-term planting health, while respecting neighborhood context and municipal requirements. Several projects required coordination with township regulations and careful grading and material transitions to achieve the desired result.
For larger backyard installations, including the $250,000–$500,000 category, judges evaluated how well the landscape supported daily use, entertaining, and durability. Features such as pools, patios, retaining structures, planting zones, and circulation paths were reviewed as a complete system rather than individual elements.
Parker also noted the importance of the judging process itself. “These awards are judged by industry professionals who review the work without knowing who completed it,” he said.
The NJLCA Landscape Achievement Awards emphasize the value of clear documentation and high-quality photography, as judges rely entirely on visual and written submissions. This reinforces Parker Landscape Design’s commitment to careful planning, detailed execution, and finished work that holds up under close review.
With these five new awards, Parker Landscape Design continues to build on its reputation as a residential landscape design-build firm serving homeowners throughout central and north New Jersey. The company specializes in front yard and backyard transformations, outdoor living spaces, landscape lighting, planting design, drainage solutions, and integrated hardscape construction.
